Latex particles sensitized with mouse monoclonal anti-D-Dimer antibodies agglutinate in the presence of human plasmas containing D-Dimer. The antibody used is highly specific to the cross-linked region of D-Dimer. The agglutination of latex particles is proportional to the D-Dimer present in the sample and can be measured by turbidimetry.
