The CRP-Latex Test is a rapid slide agglutination test based on the Singer technique for the direct detection and semiquantification of C-reactive protein (CRP) in serum. The determination is made by assaying a suspension of latex coated with anti-CRP antibodies against problem sera. The presence of agglutination is indicative of an increase in the CRP level above the upper limit of the reference range in the tested samples.
