The ASLO-Latex Test is a rapid slide agglutination test for the direct detection and semiquantification of clinically significant levels of anti-streptolysin O (ASLO) antibodies in serum. The determination is made by assaying a suspension of latex particles coated with streptolysin against problem sera. The presence or absence of visible agglutination is indicative of the presence or absence of ASLO in the tested samples.
